Children Are Not a Distraction

The most important work…

Everyone’s life is an every-single-kind-of-genre novel, I think. All the genre’s are mixed up and intertwined with the next. We may have some romance, some drama, some comedy, perhaps a little fantasy-adventure, too.

The contemporary realism section or genre of my novel might be entitled, “Child-like Faith.” I have desired to be a mom before I was old enough to be one. I imagined myself with several children before I exited my twenties. Loving, teaching and building them up into the magnificent person God had called them to be. However, life doesn’t usually go the way we have planned.

So, even though I have not been able to have any children of my own, I still have faith that I can help build children up. Because I know that, “Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the important work.” (C.S. Lewis)
